Big families, get ready for a big ride: India’s favourite 7-seater car is back

2024 will be launched on October 3. This MPV is one of the most luxurious 7-seater cars in India. The 9-seat configuration will also be available in the new Carnival. It was discontinued in India in 2023 due to not meeting BS6 Phase 2 norms but is now all set to be launched in a new avatar which was recently spotted at the Delhi airport.

KIA Carnival 2024: Design

The new Carnival looks bolder than before in its fourth-generation guise. The spy shots reveal that the MPV gets a new grille and a new set of vertical LED headlamps along with L-shaped LED DRLs at the front. Changes have also been made to the bumper and air intake. The Carnival’s new alloy design is also showcased in the video. The MPV is expected to feature 19-inch alloy wheels. While the rear of the MPV is barely visible in the video, it is expected to get updated taillamps and bumpers.

KIA Carnival 2024: features

Kia has also updated the interior of the 2024 Carnival MPV with a lot of features. Kia may offer the MPV in India with two seating configurations that include a seven-seater and a nine-seater variant. The MPV will also get a dual-screen setup that will include a new 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen and a new digital instrument cluster. The MPV is also expected to get features like wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless charger, automatic climate control, 360-degree camera, head-up display, ADAS technology, and rear infotainment screen.

2024 KIA Carnival: Engine

Kia may offer the new Carnival in India with three engine options. The global-spec Carnival is sold with 3.5-litre petrol, 1.6-litre petrol hybrid and 2.2-litre diesel engine options. The petrol engine comes mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. It can generate a power of 287 bhp and a peak torque of 352 Nm. The MPV also features a 54 kWh battery pack in its hybrid variant.

KIA Carnival 2024: will be assembled in India

The new Kia Carnival will be offered in India as a completely knocked down (CKD) unit, meaning it will be assembled in the country using imported parts. However, the Korean auto giant is expected to initially import the MPV through the completely built unit (CBU) route. It was unveiled as the KA4 during the Auto Expo held in January last year.
