Firm Donald Trump follower Laura Loomer On Friday he cited a source to tweet that New York Police Unions are planning to hold a mass “sick out” day following the former president’s sentencing on September 18. She, without providing evidence, claimed that the New York State National Guard is placing guards in hotels around the New York courthouse, “as they expect Trump to be arrested.”

This comes as Trump’s lawyers, ahead of his sentencing in the bribery case, are trying to move the criminal case to federal court. They lost an attempt to do so last year. Now, they are citing the Supreme Court’s July 1 immunity ruling to say the Republican nominee should be tried in a federal forum.

However, Loomer said the agencies expect Trump to be sentenced before being taken to Rikers Island by Judge Juan Merchan.

“A federal law enforcement officer just told me that the New York State National Guard @NationalGuardNY

“They have begun deploying guards at hotels around the New York courthouse where President Trump will be sentenced on September 18th as they expect Trump to be detained and sent straight to Rikers Island by Judge Juan Merchan,” Laura Loomer said on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

He added that his source believes “police unions are preparing to organize a massive ‘sick day’ in support of President Trump on September 18 because none of the officers want to get involved in the persecution of Donald Trump.”
