Jammu and Kashmir govt orders transfer of seven police officers following ECI directive
The Jammu and Kashmir government on Friday evening appointed four officers of the J&K Police Services (JKPS) as new Senior Superintendents of Police (SSP) for Srinagar, Baramulla and Kupwara districts, and as Superintendent of Police (SP) of Handwara, as per the approval of the Election Commission of India.
According to an order issued by Principal Secretary, Home, Chandrakar Bharti, seven police officials, including two IPS officers, have been transferred and given new assignments in three districts and one police district.

PM Modi to visit Brunei and Singapore in first week of September
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Brunei on September 3 and 4, seeking to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in all existing sectors, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said on Friday. This will be the first bilateral visit by an Indian prime minister to Brunei, MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said in his press conference. The visit will also mark 40 years of the establishment of diplomatic ties between India and Brunei, he said.
