Vedanta’s big announcement in Rajasthan will invest Rs 1 lakh crore

Rajasthan News: Vedanta, a leading mining and metals company, has planned to invest around Rs 1 lakh crore in Rajasthan. A large part of this investment has been earmarked for renewable energy projects. The company’s director Priya Aggarwal Hebbar gave this information on Friday, August 30. She said, “Some of our large companies like Hindustan Zinc and Cairn India are already active in Rajasthan. We have invested over Rs 1 lakh crore in the state in the last few years. In the coming years, we will invest another Rs 1 lakh crore on similar lines, which will also include a large renewable energy project.”

Priya Aggarwal Hebbar made this announcement after meeting Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma. This major investment will give new strength to Rajasthan’s industries and many new employment opportunities will be created. Vedanta is a business conglomerate led by billionaire industrialist Anil Agarwal. Apart from metals and minerals like zinc, silver, lead, aluminium, chromium, copper and nickel, the group also operates in oil and gas, iron and steel, coal and renewable energy sectors. Now the company is also entering the field of semiconductor and display glass manufacturing.

Last year, Vedanta announced the separation of its Metals, Power, Aluminium and Oil & Gas businesses into separate companies. The company aims to unlock the value of these businesses through this step. Under this plan, Vedanta will be split into 6 independent listed companies, which will be as follows:

1. Vedanta Aluminum

2. Vedanta Oil and Gas

3. Vedanta Base Metals

4. Vedanta Limited

5. Vedanta Power

6. Vedanta Steel and Ferrous Materials
