A 21-year-old Nepalese student was shot dead allegedly by an Indian-origin man in her apartment in the United States during a robbery, according to local media. The man, who has been identified as a 52-year-old man, was shot dead in his apartment in the United States during a robbery. Bobby Sinh Shahhas been arrested.
Muna Pandey She was found with multiple gunshot wounds inside her Houston apartment at around 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Police were informed about her death by staff at the apartment complex where she lived. Pandey had moved to the U.S. in 2021 and was a student at Houston Community College.
Police zeroed in on Shah after security cameras captured him leaving his apartment on Saturday. Two days later, police arrested Shah in a traffic stop and charged him with murder.
Pandey had been shot three times and was found lying in bed when police raided her apartment, a police official said. Nepalese Association of Houston he told the New York Post.
“We hope the investigation will shed some light on how this happened,” he said, adding that Pandey was an only child.
GoFundMe members have set up a page to help Pandey’s mother fly to Houston.
