Bangalore dominates the supply of active talent with skills in demand For GCC countries with BFSI, which are home to 35% of India BFSI GCC and 26% of Active job seekers with in-demand skills, according to a new report from talent solutions provider Careernet.

With a sample size of 2,41,623 actively seeking candidates, the analysis maps the talent supply in relation to the skills in demand in BFSI GCCs.

The report highlights that US multinationals account for two out of three GCC BFSIs in India and maintain a significant presence through their local offices. These GCCs operate on a large scale: over 50% employ more than 1,000 people and 15% exceed 10,000. The report reveals that approximately 35% of GCC BFSIs are in more than one location; overall, approximately 18% have a presence in 3 or more locations.

In terms of the pool of active talent with skills in demand in the sector, Bangalore This is followed by Pune at 15%, Hyderabad at 14% and Chennai at 12%. Delhi/NCR has 10% of them, Mumbai has 8% of the total active talent pool for the in-demand skill sets, while the remaining 15% is spread across other cities.

The technology sector has the largest talent pool, accounting for 34% of active job seekers, followed by infrastructure and functional sectors, which are tied at 19% each. In contrast, the operations sector has a relatively lower skilled workforce availability at 12%. However, emerging fields such as analytics and NextGen are gaining ground, each accounting for 8% of job seekers, reflecting the growing interest in next-generation technologies and functional expertise. Neelabh Shukla, Chief Business Officer, Careernet, said, “With a vast pool of skilled professionals, India offers GCC countries the ideal ecosystem to drive growth, innovation and transformation. By 2030, we foresee over 250 GCC countries with BFSI and around one million BFSI professionals who will drive India’s rise as a global talent hub.”
