Leaked Vivo T3 Ultra specs suggest a powerful MediaTek chipset and Sony cameras

Vivo T3 Ultra could be the company’s next mid-range smartphone to join the T3 series, which debuted earlier this year. Judging by its name, the T3 Ultra will likely be the most powerful (and most expensive) smartphone of the lot. While the company hasn’t even unveiled the phone, a report has revealed the specifications of the Vivo T3 Ultra and its launch timeline in India.

91Mobiles The company has reported that the Vivo T3 Ultra 5G will be using MediaTek’s Dimensity 9200 Plus chipset. It is one of the best chipsets from the chipmaker, scoring over 160,000 on benchmarking website AnTuTu. That score puts it ahead of Qualcomm’s recently debuted Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset that powers smartphones like the OnePlus Nord CE 4 5G. It will be fast enough for most high-end games, while multitasking should be better than the Vivo T3 Pro, the last phone in the company’s T3 series available for Rs 24,999. This also means that the Vivo T3 Ultra will be priced around Rs 30,000.

The Vivo T3 Ultra could also come with a curved AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a peak brightness of 450 nits. However, the size of the panel and its refresh rate are unclear. The report also said that the smartphone will use a Sony IMX921 primary camera with support for optical image stabilization (OIS) at the rear setup. The report also cited a recent listing on benchmarking website Geekbench to say that the Vivo T3 Ultra will have 12GB of RAM and will run Android 14-based software.

If these leaked specs are anything to go by, the Vivo T3 Ultra could be identical to the recently launched Vivo V40 Pro. However, it could still have some important differences that set the two families of phones apart. The Vivo T3 Ultra is unlikely to feature ZEISS optics in its cameras, compared to the Vivo V40 Pro.

The report also mentioned that the Vivo T3 Ultra will debut in India sometime in early September, but considering the lack of hype around it, the company may have different plans for the launch.
