Ranchi News: Vikas Linda (22), a resident of Rampur, Namkum, who was applying for reinstatement of Excise Officer in Sahibganj, had died. While jogging on Saturday, he fell unconscious. He was later admitted to Sadar Hospital, where he died during night treatment.
Vikas’ family members have accused him of negligence in the treatment he received. He said that Vikas was admitted to Sadar Hospital after he fainted while jogging. I spoke to Vikas on the phone at 7 pm and he was absolutely fine at that time. No information was given about what suddenly happened and how he died.
Vikas had gone with his cousin, sister-in-law, brother, sister and friends from the village to reinstate the constable. These people had said that they had given food to Vikas when he arrived at the hospital. Suddenly, in the morning I received information that Vikas was no more.
Uncle Turiya Linda claimed that the nephew was fine in the evening. Throughout the night, doctors lowered his blood pressure by giving him fluids, and he died. Information about his death came late and the autopsy of his body was performed before his relatives arrived.
After his father’s death from cancer, family members had hope in Vikas
Vikas’ father Bijla Linda died of cancer on 20th October 2023. After this, a mountain of grief fell on the family. Mother Shanti Devi (an Anganwadi worker) and Vikas’ elder brother Pawan somehow support the family by taking up farming. The family had high hopes for Vikas, the youngest of the four siblings. With high hopes, his mother, sister and uncle sent him to Sahibganj to recruit him.
Chaos ensued in the house as soon as information about the incident was received.
As soon as the news of Vikas’ death came, chaos broke out at his house. The family members were in a bad state, crying. People around could not believe that Vikas was no more. Everyone was busy taking care of his mother and sister. The locals raised questions about the recruitment process system. The family members have demanded compensation from the government.
He wrote a letter to the High Court regarding the death of a police officer during his reinstatement.
The process for re-enlistment of 583 product agents under Jharkhand Product Agent Competitive Exam 2023 starts from August 22. Candidates are applying under this and so far 11 candidates have passed out.
Hurt by this incident, BJP Law Cell state convenor and advocate Sudhir Srivastava wrote a letter to the acting Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court and informed about this. He also requested the state government to hand over the case to the CBI.
