Punakha Dzong, Fortress | Yes, this is not one fortress, but two impressive fortresses in Bhutan. Check out the Punakha Dzong, which translates to “palace of great happiness or bliss,” which was built in 1637 as the second fortress to be built in the country. Mo Chhu River | Water is known to have one of the most calming effects, and it definitely works for me. The Mo Chhu River is one of the main rivers in Bhutan; it translates to “female river” (Mo means female and Chhu means “river”). Fun fact: the beautiful scenery and the fact that this section of the river has both class 1 and class 2 rapids have officially made this river one of the most frequented rivers for rafting in Bhutan.
