Overwhelmed by work responsibilities and overwhelmed by self-induced pressure to prove ourselves, some of us fail to draw a line between personal and professional life. We let professional commitments take up most of our time and suddenly, there comes a time in our lives when we are forced to take stock of our health and personal life.

There are many people who believe that their goals and aspirations are too big and that they have no other option than to sacrifice their personal life and time for self-care. “I want to launch my own brand very soon and work commitments just don’t let me sleep in peace. I guess when your dreams are too big, you can’t help but sacrifice a lot of things to get where you want to be. I see it as a sacrifice. I want success, money and fame and in return, I might have to stop going to the gym, avoid social life and even dream about my job in my sleep. It can get overwhelming at times but then you have to do what you have to do,” says Shivani, a fashion designer.

While there is nothing wrong with dreaming big, what one really needs to remember is that health is wealth. To ensure that one can enjoy their success and consistently work towards their goals, it is important that they prioritize their health. There simply can be no two ways about it.
