Yash’s Toxic Gets Bigger! Shooting Begins With 1,000-Member Crew & 450 Actors

On August 8th, Yash Geetu Mohandas marked the beginning of the shoot of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups by sharing a picture of the producer and himself. Within no time, the picture racked up countless likes, a clear sign of how eager his fans are for the action drama. Looks like director Geetu Mohandas’ period drama is turning out to be the big hit that the Kannada superstar’s fans are hoping for. Sources told Mid-Day that the team is shooting on the outskirts of Bengaluru where a 20-acre set has been constructed.

Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria and Huma Qureshi

“The production design team has created an authentic world of the 1940s-70s. The team has been working at a breakneck pace. While Geetu has shot many crucial portions with Yash, she has also shot a few scenes with Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Tara Sutaria and Huma Qureshi“, says a source. Nayanthara reportedly plays the protagonist’s on-screen sister, while Advani plays the role of his love interest.

The lavishness of the production is not limited to the principal cast. A source reveals that Toxic is being shot with a 1000-member crew. Another source says, “Geetu has roped in 450 actors, who are shooting on and off on this schedule. Around 300 foreign supporting actors have been roped in for a crucial sequence. A portion of the shoot was being done outdoors and due to heavy rains, the shoot had to be stopped many times. But the cast and crew are fully committed and have been shooting for several whole nights.”
