BJP revolts as soon as the first list comes in, so far 20 leaders have left the party

Haryana Elections 2024: After the release of the first list of BJP, rebellion has started in the BJP. So far, 20 leaders have resigned from the party. Minister Ranjit Singh Chautala and MLA Laxman Das Napa left the party after failing to get tickets. The BJP rebellion crisis started soon after the release of the first list of candidates as it had angered many people.

Ranjit Chautala will contest the elections as an independent

Power and Prisons Minister Ranjit Chautala (79), son of former Deputy Chief Minister Devi Lal, said he took the decision after meeting his supporters and will now contest the elections as an independent candidate. Napa quit the party after failing to get the ticket, while former minister Karan Dev Kamboj also resigned from the post of state chief of the BJP OBC Morcha after the party ignored his candidature.

Napa to join Congress with supporters

After quitting the party, Laxman Das Napa met former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda at his residence in the national capital and later said that he would join the Congress along with his supporters.

Ranjit suffered a crushing defeat in the Lok Sabha elections.

Before the Lok Sabha elections, Ranjit had resigned from the post of independent MLA from Rania and joined the BJP and contested from Hisar parliamentary seat but had to face defeat.

Former minister Karn Dev Kamboj also left the party.

After releasing the first list of candidates, dealing another blow to the BJP, former minister Karan Dev Kamboj said he had resigned from the post of state president of the Haryana BJP’s OBC Morcha and all party posts. Kamboj wanted a ticket but did not get one.

These leaders also resigned from the BJP.

Besides Karan Dev Kamboj, Ranjit Singh Chautala and MLA Laxman Das Napa, 17 more leaders quit the BJP. In which Vikas alias Balle, Amit Jain, Shamsher Gill, Sukhwinder Sheoran, Darshan Giri Maharaj, Seema Gabipur, Aditya Chautala, Ashu Shera, Savita Jindal, Tarun Jain, Naveen Goyal, Dr. Satish Khola, Indu Valecha, Bachan Singh Arya, Bishamber Valmiki, Pandit GL Sharma and Prashant Sunny Yadav are included.

When are the Haryana Assembly elections?

The Haryana Assembly elections will be held on October 5. While the counting of votes for the 90-member assembly will take place on October 8.
