According to information, she was teaching in a private school in Bisra for the last 10 years. Earlier, to go to school in Bisra, the disabled Reena used to travel two kilometers from her house to the main road on a bicycle. After this, she would travel a distance of eight kilometers in the school van to reach the school located in Bisra. Currently, she is working as a teacher in a private school in Bandamunda for one year. Due to her dedication and devotion to her job, Reena, who arrives at school on time every day, is very impressed by the school principal and the other teachers.

Disabled Reena is setting an example for others.

Reena says her father, retired railway worker Sakaldeep Rai, taught her from a young age that no matter what the situation in life is, one should not give up. Even today she continues to carry forward her father’s teachings. She does not consider teaching at school as a job. She says I get the satisfaction of sharing the knowledge I have received among the children. My father, former principal of Radhaswami English School, and my husband Pappu Kumar have always helped me in my progress.

Mother Sushila Devi says that Reena has been a fighter since childhood. He never let anything get the better of him. He knows what he is doing and what needs to be done. That is why we encouraged him. It never stopped him from studying. In 2002, Reena completed her matriculation from Radha Swami English Medium School, Bandamunda, 12th in Arts from Bandamunda Cast College in 2004 and graduated with honours in Political Science from Rourkela Government Autonomous College in 2007. Since then, Reena has been igniting the flame of education in the area by becoming a teacher. Her students have a different kind of attachment to Reena. Apart from school, whenever students have any kind of learning-related problems, they come to Reena for help.
