Applicants failed to get jobs even after making three requests, High Court is angry

Senior Correspondent, Ranchi. In the year 1986-87, the bench of Justice Sanjay Prasad of the Jharkhand High Court heard the petition filed by the displaced persons of the Swarnarekha Multipurpose Project regarding employment. During this, the court heard the version of the petitioners. Following this, taking the matter seriously, the court sent the Principal Secretary/Secretary of the Water Resources Department (now known as the Drinking Water and Sanitation Department), the Director of Rehabilitation and Land Acquisition of the Project and the Project Manager to physical custody for the next hearing. The next hearing of the case will be on September 6. Earlier, the court was informed on behalf of the petitioners that the state government had acquired the land from the petitioners’ family in the year 1986-87 for the Swarnarekha Chandil Multipurpose Project. The petitioners are still waiting for the job. Despite being displaced, the state government has not given them the benefit of the rehabilitation policy. A petition was filed on his behalf before the High Court relating to the year 1991. The High Court had directed the state government to provide them with jobs as per the government policy. After failing to get the job, the petition was again filed in the year 2001. The High Court had directed the state government to dispose of the cases of the petitioners on priority basis. After failing to get the appointment, he filed a petition before the High Court for the third time in 2014. It may be noted that a petition has been filed on behalf of the petitioner Madan Gop and others, demanding employment under the rehabilitation policy.
