The girl students also did not organise the felicitation ceremony. The college teachers were angry at not receiving their salaries for 20 months. He said that a famine situation has come before him. Even the government grant amount is not being distributed. The amount has been divided among teachers and employees of other educational institutions in the district. The teachers said that they had observed a lockout on July 1 to demand distribution of salaries and grants. At that time, the chairperson of the governing body and MLA, Sunita Choudhary, had assured payment of salaries and distribution of the grant amount. Till date the assurance has not been fulfilled. The teachers said that today, on Teachers’ Day, when we asked the in-charge principal, Ruma Singh, about the payment, she said that the secretary, former MP Shankar Chaudhary, will not sign the cheque.

If payment is not made, there will be indefinite lockout in the university from September 9: Faculty and employees have requested the governing body and the registrar to make the payment by September 7.
