Around 3 lakh tribal students from the state will get the benefit of Odisha government’s ‘Madho Singh Hath Kharg Yojana’. State Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mukesh Mahaling has said that the students will be given an annual financial assistance of Rs 5,000 (Rs 5,000) for their studies.

Tribal students of classes 9 and 11 will benefit from the scheme.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mukesh Mahaling made this announcement in the Assembly. Mukesh Mahaling said that those who passed the eighth and tenth class are being admitted in the ninth and eleventh class. Odisha Each tribal student will be given Rs 5,000 every year as an incentive.

The minister told the assembly that this scheme will curb the trend of dropouts among tribal students in the state. Mahalinga said that around three lakh students from the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category will benefit from the Madho Singh Haath Kharg Yojana, for which the state government has allocated Rs 156 crore in this year’s budget. The scheme will be implemented from this year.
