Kia Carnival: The length of the new-generation Kia Carnival has increased by over 5 metres, which will provide more cabin space and a more comfortable experience for rear-seat passengers. The previous-generation model had a well-appointed cabin and the model promises a more premium and luxurious experience with soft-touch materials, leather upholstery, different colour themes and more.

The teaser compares the next-generation Carnival to a luxury ocean liner. The cabin is where the MPV shows its true sense of luxury, especially with the leather-trimmed captain’s chairs and power-operated doors. The new offering includes dual screens for the instrument console and infotainment system (both 12.3-inch units) with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual sunroof, front and rear dash cameras, head-up display, digital interior rearview mirror (IRVM) and cabin. It will include features such as ambient lighting.

New generation Kia Carnival: seating capacity and engine
The new-generation Kia Carnival is expected to come with multiple seating configurations in India. The MPV is available in 7-, 9- and 11-seater options globally, which may be offered here as well. Power for the Indian market is expected to come from a 2.2-litre turbocharged diesel engine, the same as the previous model. The diesel burner was only available with an automatic transmission, as would be the case with the new model as well. However, globally, the Carnival also features 3.5-litre V6 and 1.6-litre turbo petrol engine options.
New Generation Kia Carnival: Interior
The new-generation Kia Carnival will come in multiple seating configurations, including a fully loaded variant with second-row captain’s chairs for a premium experience. The new Kia Carnival will arrive in India via the CBU route, though the Korean brand plans to locally assemble the MPV later. Given its fully imported status, prices for the new Carnival are expected to be over Rs 50 lakh, ex-showroom.
Next-generation Kia Carnival: Pre-order
Kia dealers have unofficially started bookings for the new-gen Carnival with a ₹1 lakh token. The new Carnival is initially expected to come as a completely built unit (CBU), which should be priced around Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom). This will be significantly higher than the previous-generation offering, which was priced closer to that of the Toyota Innova Crysta. Deliveries are likely to begin immediately after the launch in October.
