iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus: What are the design changes?
Since the iPhone 11, Apple has maintained a consistent design for its iPhones, with the Dynamic Island feature being the most notable recent addition. While the iPhone 16 series will maintain a similar look, leaked images point to minor tweaks. The camera module is expected to be narrower with vertically aligned lenses, and the LED flash could be moved out of the camera module and onto the back panel of the phone.
Leaked dummy models suggest that Apple could introduce a new white color to the base line, and the iPhone 16 models may come in more vibrant colors compared to the lighter shades typically seen on the Pro models.
Another anticipated change is the addition of new side buttons, likely called the Action and Capture buttons. The Action button will offer customizable shortcuts, while the Capture button will serve as the camera shutter. The traditional alert slider could be removed from the iPhone 16 lineup. The Capture button is expected to be a capacitive touchpad, potentially allowing for swipe gestures for functions like zoom.

A higher refresh rate may be introduced on the standard models in 2025.
