PM Modi shares video of his interaction with architects of India’s future
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday shared a video of his interaction with the country’s top educators, who were honoured with the National Awards for Teachers.
“It is an honour to meet the outstanding educators who have been awarded the National Teachers Awards. Their passion and dedication to shaping young minds is truly inspiring,” the Prime Minister wrote in X.
The open discussion with the ‘architects of India’s future’ took place at Prime Minister Modi’s residence at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg. Prime Minister Modi He praised the important role of teachers in nation building and applauded their dedication and passion in raising the “citizens of tomorrow.”
He said the National Teachers Awards were a recognition of their outstanding contribution to national service.
The award-winning teachers shared their teaching experiences with the Prime Minister and spoke about the innovative methods they use to make learning more engaging. They also highlighted examples of the social work they do alongside their regular teaching duties.
Prime Minister Modi discussed the impact of the National Education Policy (NEP) and stressed the importance of mother tongue education. He encouraged teachers to incorporate local folklore into their lessons in multiple languages, helping students develop multidisciplinary skills while experiencing India’s rich and diverse culture.
PM Modi also advised teachers to take students on educational trips to explore India’s diversity as this will help them understand the country and its plurality in a comprehensive manner.
“This will also boost tourism and give a boost to the local economy,” he said.
The Prime Minister also encouraged the award-winning teachers to increase their engagement with students through social media and promote best practices, allowing everyone to learn, adapt and benefit from these methods.
PM Modi further lauded the vital role played by teachers in the service of the nation, saying that the responsibility of preparing today’s youth for a developed India, ‘Viksit Bharat’, lies in their hands.
