Giridih: In Algadiha village under Bagodar police station area of Giridih district, the wife and her son strangled her husband to death. The incident is said to have occurred on Friday evening. The brother of the deceased Dinanath Mandal lodged a complaint at the Bagodar police station, accusing his nephew and sister-in-law of murder. In the application lodged at the police station, the deceased’s brother Jeevadhan Mandal said that Devanti Devi, wife of the deceased Dinanath Mandal (55), had eloped with another person 12 years ago and got married. She was also living with him.
Devanti Devi had returned a month and a half ago.
A month and a half ago, Devanti Devi returned home and started living with Dinanath Mandal again. There was a dispute between the two for the past two days. The dispute escalated and on Friday, she accused Devanti Devi along with her younger son Deepak Kumar of beating up Dinanath Mandal in the house. In the meantime, both of them killed Dinanath by strangling him and fled the house. The brother of the deceased said that when Dinanath Mandal’s mother came home on Saturday morning, she saw Dinanath Mandal’s body lying on the bed. After this he started making noise.
Two days ago there was a dispute between husband and wife.
The locals informed the Bagodar police about the incident. The police recovered Dinanath’s body from his house. Information was taken from the local people about the incident. The people also told the police about the dispute that took place between the husband and wife two days ago. The police sent the body for post-mortem. Giridih Sent.
Police caught the two fugitive accused near the bus stop
Following the incident, Bagodar police raided and arrested his wife Devanti Devi and son Deepak Kumar from Bagodar bus stand. The police are interrogating both the accused. The suspect Vinay Kumar Yadav told the motives behind the murder. Investigation is on and the method of murder will be revealed only after the post-mortem report comes. ML leader Ramchandra Mandal said that the police should investigate and punish the culprit.
