SSC CGL Tier-1 Exam 2024: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) CGL Tier-1 Exam 2024 will start tomorrow from 9th September 2024. This exam will conclude on 26th September 2024. Candidates are advised to carry a photocopy of the admit card and a valid photo ID (Aadhar Card, Passport, Driving Licence) to the exam centre.

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the admit card for the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination Tier-1 exam. Candidates can download them by visiting the regional SSC websites. The SSC CGL Tier-1 exam will be held from September 9 to September 26. Online applications have been accepted from June 24 to July 27 for the recruitment of 17,727 CGL posts. Through this exam, selection for Group B and C posts in central government departments will be made. Around 30 lakh youth from across the country have applied for this recruitment.

SSC CGL Tier-1 Exam Pattern-

The SSC CGL exam will be conducted through a Computer Based Test (CBT). In this, candidates will be asked 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). For each question answered correctly, the candidate will be awarded 2 marks. For this, candidates will be given 1 hour. The SSC CGL Tier-1 paper is divided into four parts:

1. General knowledge

2. Reasoning

3. Mathematics

4. English subject

SSC CGL GK 2024 (General Knowledge)-

In the SSC CGL Tier-1 exam, questions are asked on general knowledge of history, culture, geography, economics, scientific research, current affairs, general politics, politics and international affairs. You must read these.

SSC CGL English Syllabus

Questions are asked on topics like synonyms, error spotting, reading comprehension, fill in the blanks, sentence completion, correct spelling, antonyms, sentence improvement, idioms and phrases, spelling test, one word substitution and direct/indirect speech etc. You need to prepare them for the exam.

SSC CGL Maths Important Topics-

You must read these topics in Mathematics in SSC CGL Tier-1. Number Series, Fractions and Decimals, Ratio, Trigonometry, Arithmetic, Time and Distance, Working Time, Square Roots, Mensuration, Height and Distance, Business Partnership, Discount, Profit and Loss, Interest, Averages, Algebra, Triangle, Degree and Radian Measure, Standard Identity, Complementary Angle, Histogram, Frequency Polygon, Bar Diagram and Pie Chart etc.

SSC CGL Reasoning Syllabus 2024

Some of the important reasoning topics for SSC CGL Tier-1 are: Similarities and Differences, Spatial Visualization, Spatial Orientation, Problem Solving, Visual Memory, Discrimination, Observation, Relationship Concepts, Arithmetic Reasoning and Figural Classification, Non-Verbal Series, Encoding and Decoding, Statement Inference, Syllogistic Reasoning, Semantic Analogy, Symbolic/Numerical Analogy, Pictorial Analogy, Semantic Classification, Symbolic/Numerical Classification, Shape Classification, Semantic Series, Numerical Series, Pictorial Series, Problem Solving, Word Formation, Coding and D-Coding etc.

Let us tell you that to pass the CGL Tier-1 exam, general category candidates will have to score 30 percent marks. OBC and EWS category candidates will have to score 25 percent marks and other category candidates will have to score 20 percent marks.
