Family division will not be decided by land survey; if the ryot is alive, then there is no need to give genealogy.

Bihar Spatial Study: Patna. The Revenue and Land Reform Department has made many technical aspects very clear regarding the ongoing land survey in Bihar. There is also a fact in this that it is not appropriate to assume distribution among all the family members on the basis of names recorded through land survey. Family partition can always happen only with the common consent of the family members. In partition, the boundary of the land is decided along with the area of the land for each member. This boundary can be decided only with the mutual consent of all the members. In such a situation, if all the family members sign a family partition deed by mutual consent and hand over the land along with the survey application, then this can be recorded in the survey.

Khatian will be carried out through land survey.

Official sources say that Khatian will be done through land survey. In such a situation, the names of the tenants will be recorded in the survey on the basis of the applicant’s genealogy. Along with this, details of all their lands will also be recorded. This will decide the ownership of the family, but which part of the land will be occupied by which family members will be decided through partition deed with the mutual consent of the family. This partition deed can be done by the family at any time. After this survey, the ryots will be given a card similar to the ration book. The mention of the ryot’s lands will be recorded in such a card. On this basis, the ryots will be given government and other benefits.
