Contracted teachers do not have the responsibility of the director in charge
In fact, the Education Department has clearly stated in its order that now no employed teacher will be appointed as the headmaster-in-charge. If there is no permanent headmaster in a school, then only the teacher on the old pay scale will be given this responsibility. According to the new rule, if there are more than one teacher on the old pay scale, the teacher with the highest rank will be appointed as the headmaster-in-charge. This clearly means that now employed teachers will be removed from this post.
Only the professor with the old salary scale will be appointed as the director in charge.
It is reported that a departmental order has been issued in this regard and all the officers have been informed. It was clearly stated that the employed teacher will not be given the responsibility of being the headmaster-in-charge. If there is no permanent headmaster in any school, then the teacher of the old pay scale will be made the headmaster-in-charge.
What is the guideline for appointing a director?
- If a secondary or higher secondary school has teachers with both old and new pay scales, then the teacher with the old pay scale will be appointed as the headmaster. But this rule will be applicable only when the school has teachers appointed by both the local body and BPSC.
- If there are teachers in the old pay scale from classes 1 to 8 of the school and along with them there are teachers appointed by the local body or BPSC, then the financial charge will be given to the teacher in the old pay scale.
- In schools where there are only local teachers, the senior local teacher will be the headmaster-in-charge. Similarly, if a school has only BPSC-appointed teachers, then he will be appointed as the headmaster-in-charge.
- If a school has teachers appointed by both the BPSC and the local body, the teacher appointed by the BPSC will be appointed as the headmaster-in-charge.
