Teaser-trailer of Alia Bhatt-The film starring Jigra, also starring Vedang Raina, has finally released. Ahead of the trailer release, Alia Bhatt along with the makers of the film have been sharing several posters of Jigra over the past few days, adding to the excitement. Vedang and Alia play brothers and sisters in Jigra. The trailer begins with Alia’s character talking about her messy life since childhood, where she is seen mentioning that God took her mother away, her father committed suicide and distant relatives gave them shelter and made them pay a heavy price for it. While talking about her condition, she is also seen with tears in her eyes.

The Hindi film, which is backed by Dharma Productions, is set to release on October 11. In the trailer, Alia is seen trying her best to free her brother, played by Raina, who is behind bars. Vasan Bala, known for films like Monica, O My Darling and Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota, thanked his collaborators in an Instagram post.
“I made it with people who were there from the beginning, who knew me better than I did, and then I met people who had more faith in me than I did in myself. I don’t know how to show it, but it is what it is… just love and gratitude. Final moments! In theaters October 11,” the filmmaker wrote.
Alia not only headlines the Jigra poster, but has also co-produced the film under her banner Eternal Sunshine Productions along with Karan Johar‘s Dharma Productions. The film was originally scheduled to release on September 27, but will now hit the big screens on October 11, 2024.
