Upon arrival in Agra, tourists will find QR code signs at 70 strategic locations across the city. Scanning these codes will provide them with directions to the Taj Mahal directly, making navigation much easier and enhancing the visitor experience.
Taj Mahal Security Director Areeb Ahmed stressed the importance of the new system, noting that during peak tourist season, around 10,000 vehicles arrive in Agra daily. “Tourists often face traffic congestion and confusion, leading them to inadvertently end up in other parts of the city or miss the opportunity to see the Taj Mahal,” Ahmed said. “This new tourist route will not only enhance the overall experience but will also help alleviate the usual traffic problems,” he added.
The implementation of the QR code system is expected to address many of the challenges currently faced by tourists and ensure a smoother and more enjoyable visit. With the peak tourist season approaching, the timely implementation of this scheme by the Agra Development Authority is anticipated to have a significant positive impact on visitor satisfaction.
