According to information, Mithun Rai, a resident of Tasaria village under Maheshpur police station area, was coming from Amdapara Hatia towards Pokharia in his car. Meanwhile, suddenly around ten people laid an ambush near Pochaibeda under Amdapara police station area and stopped the car on the main road. The driver of the vehicle started abusing and assaulting Mithun Rai and fled from the spot. On the other hand, as soon as the relatives and close people got information about the incident, they reached the spot and the unconscious driver was shifted to Amdapara CHC for treatment. Where doctors provided first aid. Seeing the serious condition of the injured, the doctors referred him to Dumka for better treatment. On Sunday, angry villagers and auto drivers blocked the road near Pokharia for hours over the said incident. The villagers who blocked the road said that the road will remain blocked until the culprits are caught. Here, as soon as the information about the jam was received, the police from Maheshpur police station reached the jam spot and after taking all the information about the incident, after convincing the angry crowd, the jam was cleared after about three hours.
