Delta, a Bengaluru-based smart green IoT solutions provider, has inaugurated its new LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold-certified headquarters and global R&D center. The new facility in Bengaluru will significantly expand Delta’s research capabilities, with plans to hire up to 750 R&D engineers over the next three years, the company said in a statement.
Delta is expanding its presence in India with a 61,000 sq m green headquarters in Bommasandra Industrial Area, which will house up to 3,000 management, R&D and engineering professionals. Additionally, the company plans to strengthen its capabilities in developing energy-saving and intelligent high-voltage power management solutions for telecom, data centers, electric vehicle charging and energy storage applications, as well as IoT and AI-related software, through hiring.

This milestone underscores our investment in India’s growing technology landscape and aligns with our company’s ‘India for India’ talent initiative, which aims to foster local innovation to serve customers around the world as well.”
Delta further highlighted that the new LEED Gold-certified headquarters and R&D center in Bengaluru features a 5,000-square-foot showroom showcasing cutting-edge IoT-based green solutions. The facility features a 593-kilowatt (kW) solar photovoltaic system, generating more than 650,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh) per year, and 82 CP2000 series variable frequency drives for energy optimization.
Additionally, the facility houses a 300kW data center that operates with an annual power usage effectiveness (PUE) of just 1.4. It also features fixed dome network cameras from Delta’s surveillance subsidiary, VIVOTEK, to optimize security for the new building.

Additionally, Delta Electronics India, Tata Motors Ltd (Commercial Vehicles, Electric Vehicles) and ThunderPlus Solutions Private Limited have signed an MoU to install up to 250 new fast charging stations for light commercial vehicles across 50 cities in India including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Pune, Kochi and other cities.
