BJP Jamudiya Mandal 2 took out a protest against the incident at RG Kar Hospital in Kolkata with a candle procession under the Night Dakhal programme in Parsia. The procession was led by Gautam Rai, a district member of the BJP. During this, the procession passed through areas like Parsia Line, Gorai Pada etc. In which a large number of women and children were present who protested with candles in their hands. During the protest, women raised slogans like “We want justice”. BJP leader Gautam Rai said that the accused in the incident with the woman doctor should be sentenced to death. The incident of rape and murder of a woman doctor has brought shame to the entire country. The beasts who commit such incidents have no right to live in society.
He said the fact that the Chief Minister of the state is a woman does not allow for a fair inquiry into this incident. After the Trinamool Congress government came to power in West Bengal, the incidents of atrocities against women increased significantly. For which Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is fully responsible. He said the perpetrators of physical and mental crimes against women doctors should be given the most severe punishment at any cost. BJP leaders Mantrimay Ghosh, Naveen Mandal, Sunil Bauri, Ranjit Das, Rampal Bauri etc. were prominently present during the candle procession.
