Alia Bhatt’s Jigra trailer released

Jigra, starring Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina, is one of the most anticipated films of the year. The film directed by Vasan Bala tells the story of a sister who crosses all boundaries to protect her brother.

The makers released the teaser on September 8, 2024. Alia Bhatt also shared the teaser on her official Instagram account with a caption that reads, “Ek hazaaron mein… #JIGRA TEASER TRAILER OUT TOMORROW AT 11 AM.”

The 2-minute 49-second trailer gives a glimpse of the strong bond between brother and sister and how Satya, played by Alia, goes to great lengths to save her brother, played by Raina.

The trailer is generating positive reactions from audiences and critics alike. Director Vasan Bala even called Alia Bhatt a “superstar.”

Alia Bhatt shares several posters from the film Jigra, where the actress can be seen with a dragon motif and Chinese lanterns as the background, wearing an oversized striped shirt and baggy black pants looking at the camera with an intense gaze. The caption of the viral post reads, “Dum hai… Satya mein dum hai! (There is strength… Truth has strength) JIGRA TRAILER TO BE RELEASED ON 8TH SEPTEMBER.”

In another poster, the 31-year-old actress can be seen wearing a bomber jacket and guns in her hands, standing with a haunted look. The side note on the poster reads, “Kahaani bahut lambi hai aur bhai ke paas waqt bahut bahut kam (The story is too long and my brother has very little time). Jigra hits theatres on October 11.”

Jigra is Alia Bhatt’s second production after Netflix’s comedy-thriller Darlings. Alia is co-producing the project along with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. Apart from this, Alia will next be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War, where the actress can be seen alongside her husband Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.

Jigra, an intense thriller, is directed by Vasan Bala, who also co-wrote the film along with Debashish Irengbam. The film is slated to hit the theatres on October 11, 2024.
