Apple iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus: American technology giant Apple launched its flagship devices iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, the Apple A18 chip and Apple Watch 10 on September 9 during a special ‘glowtime’ event.

Shortly after the launch, Apple CEO Tim Cook took to social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) to share a highlight video of the launched products.

“Welcome to the new era of iPhone! Designed with Apple Intelligence, the iPhone 16 line delivers a personal, private and powerful experience right at your fingertips. And with the new Camera Control, you’ll never miss a moment,” Cook wrote.

Apple Event 2024 Live Updates: In a highly-anticipated hardware event, Cupertino-based Apple unveiled a variety of new products and features at its Glow Time event. The tech giant showcased its latest advancements including the iPhone 16 series, Apple Watch Series 10, updated Apple Watch Ultra 2, and a refreshed AirPods lineup, along with some interesting iOS 18 updates.

Apple introduced AirPods 4, which come with several improvements thanks to the new H2 chip. These earphones offer superior audio quality with improved bass and treble, and feature custom spatial audio. AirPods 4 are available in a compact USB-C case and are priced at $129, with a noise-cancelling version available for $179. Additionally, AirPods Max will be released in new shades (midnight blue, violet, orange, and starlight) while maintaining their $549 price point. Notably, AirPods Pro 2 will now include health-focused features, including a hearing aid function.

The iPhone 16 lineup includes iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max, all with Apple Intelligence built in. iPhone 16 and 16 Plus feature several improvements, including five new color options, a customizable Action button, and a new Camera Control button. Both models feature a 48MP main camera with pixel binning, a 12MP Telephoto camera with 2X zoom, and an improved Ultra Wide camera with autofocus.

The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max feature larger displays (6.3 and 6.9 inches, respectively) and are powered by the advanced A18 Pro chipset, built on a 3-nanometer process. The Pro model starts at $999 for 128GB, while the Pro Max starts at $1,199 for 256GB. Both models will be available for pre-order on September 13 and will officially go on sale starting on September 20.

Apple Watch Series 10 and updated Apple Watch Ultra 2

Apple Watch Series 10 features a larger, brighter OLED display that’s now 40 percent brighter and 10 percent thinner and lighter. Series 10 features polished titanium instead of stainless steel and offers new matching bands. It includes the new S10 chipset with the quad-core Neural Engine and adds sleep apnea tracking, a feature also coming to Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2.

The Apple Watch Ultra 2 remains largely unchanged, but gains a new Satin Black Titanium color option, alongside the existing Natural Titanium model.

Overall, Apple’s Glow Time event introduced significant updates across its product lineup, promising improved features and capabilities for its users.
