Crime in Jharkhand: Chirkunda (Dhanbad), Praveen Kumar Chaudhary: An attempt was made to spoil the atmosphere in the Chirkunda police station area of Dhanbad district on Tuesday. However, due to the promptness of the local people and the activity of the police, the situation is under control. The police took action and arrested four accused. Four young people arrested
The local people were angry after a piece of meat was found in the Mahavir temple of CMW colony of Dumarkunda Dakshin Panchayat in Chirkunda police station area. In this case, the police have arrested four youths. The local people informed about the whole matter to the chief representative, Ajay Paswan. He reached the temple, pacified the angry people and informed the Chirkunda police.
The women began to abuse in front of the police.
Police Station In-charge Ramji Rai along with the police force reached the Mahavir temple and removed the piece of meat lying in the temple. He appealed to the people to remain calm. A meeting was held at Panchayat Bhawan in the presence of SDPO Rajat Manik Bakhala and the grievances of the people were heard. The locals were adamant in demanding immediate action in this matter. Then, when everyone approached the temple, some women from other communities started abusing them in front of the police administration and the crowd. Due to this the atmosphere became tense.
Situation under control thanks to police deployment
The situation was brought under control with the presence of a large number of police and military personnel at the spot. The SDPO asked him to lodge a written complaint. Ramji Sao lodged a written complaint demanding action. He assured those present that action will be taken. The people calmed down after being assured of action. In view of the tense situation, the police have been deployed near the temple.
