State government increases rice bonus: news: The Madhya Pradesh government in Odisha has launched Mukhyamantri Kisan Yojana to provide financial assistance to poor farmers in the state. A total of Rs 925 crore has been released to 46 lakh farmers under this scheme. Farmers in the state can use this money to purchase essential items like farm equipment, seeds, fertilizers and pesticides. Along with this, the process of the second phase has been initiated to provide benefits to farmers who are unable to register under the scheme.
CM Mohan Charan Majhi launched the CM Kisan Yojana in Sambalpur on September 8 and released Rs 925 crore to farmers’ accounts in the first phase to 46 lakh farmers. The erstwhile Odisha government had funded the CM Kisan Yojana replacing the Kalia Yojana of the then BJD government. Under this scheme, Rs 4,000 crore would be transferred annually to farmer families in their bank accounts. Under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, the Centre would also receive Rs 6,000 crore every year, so Odisha farmers would get a total of Rs 10,000 crore annually.
State government increases bonus on paddy: CM Maji has also announced that he will give a bonus of Rs 800 per quintal along with the minimum support price on procurement of paddy. He said that the state government had promised to procure paddy at the MSP of Rs 3,100 per quintal and now a bonus of Rs 800 will also be given for a quintal of paddy.
