Pakur. Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar visited Sonadhani village of Littipara block on Tuesday. During this, he interacted with the villagers about the schemes of the central and state governments. Governor Shri Gangwar said that 25-30 years ago, the Prime Minister of our country had said that if Rs 100 was sent from the Centre, only Rs 15 would reach the beneficiaries. That is why our Prime Minister wants to know whether the real benefits of the schemes are reaching the people or not. That is why I have come among all of you. Whatever problem or suggestion you have, please leave it for consideration. When Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar reached Sonadhani village, the district police took out a guard of honour under the leadership of Sergeant Major Khushi Lal Mahato. After the guard of honour, he was welcomed with traditional customs. Tribal women welcomed him by applying tilak and garlanding him. He greeted everyone on the stage. The programme was inaugurated by Governor Santosh Gangwar by lighting the lamp. During this, DC Mrityunjay Kumar Baranwal, SP Prabhat Kumar, Mukhiya Rabina Malto and Village Head Kali Pahadia were present on the stage.

Addressing the programme, Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar said that we have come to know from you the schemes of the Centre and the State. I have come to communicate with you. What are your problems and what can be the solution? If you have any suggestions, please let us know so that steps can be taken in that direction. Villager Sanjay Pahadia said that there should be a tribal residential school in Sonadhani Panchayat. Currently, education up to class 8 is provided in regular schools, but with the existence of a tribal residential school, children of tribal tribes will be able to get good education. To this, the Governor asked what is the population of the village, then Sanjay Pahadia said that the population of Sonadhani village is 700. He said that this will be considered.

Sakhi Didi Meena Malto said that we are working in self-help groups. We are getting the benefits of all the schemes. To this, the Governor asked how much income she earns per month, then her friend Didi Meena Malto said that the monthly income is Rs 4000 to Rs 4500. On this the Governor said that the income is very less. It should be considered to increase it. In many places, Sakhi Didis said that they earn Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 per month.

Sakhi Didi Sara Malto said Gutu does the work of stitching sacks at Galang Trust. This brings in an income of Rs 6,000 per month.

Manjhaladih village head Vijay Marandi said that there are many water problems in our area. If there is drinking water supply in the fields as well, the economic prosperity of the area will increase. Water supply should be done through solar energy. On this, the Governor said that he is aware of the water problem.

Parganait Joseph Soren said that self-governance system should be implemented in the state. Gram Sabha should be given rights. P-Profession Act should be implemented in the state. On this, the Governor said that Gram Sabha should be given money and some responsibility. Your suggestion is correct. Information about P-Profession Act will also be given.

Assets distributed by the governor

Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar distributed assets among the beneficiaries of many schemes. He distributed approval letters for the Housing Scheme, Birsa Irrigation Well Scheme and Birsa Green Village Scheme. At the same time, a loan amount of about Rs 27 lakh was distributed among the Sakhi group of JSLPS.
