Kolkata Metro: Due to the crowd of passengers in the Kolkata Metro, the metro doors could not be closed. Due to this, the train could not leave Howrah Maidan station. The train was stopped at the station since 10:16 am. Passengers complained that the automatic doors of the metro were repeatedly opening and closing. The train could not leave on time because the door was not properly closed. After about 20 minutes of effort, the train left. It is noteworthy that the number of passengers arriving by metro to Howrah is continuously increasing.
Passengers say there was a technical failure in the subway
Passengers complained about a technical fault in the metro at 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday. The train stopped because the door was not closed. The driver had to get off the train to deal with the situation. However, due to overcrowding on the train, the door could not be closed. After much effort, the driver managed to close the door.
Major problems for passengers
Passengers had to face problems due to closure of the metro during office hours. A group of passengers expressed their anger against the metro officials. They claim that there are often problems in the metro. The officials are indifferent in this regard. The crowd in the Howrah line metro is increasing. Even after this, the officials are not increasing the number of trains on this line. Passengers also complain that due to less number of trains, they are delayed in reaching their destination.
