The Windsor is powered by a 38kWh battery that provides a claimed range of 331km.

MG Motor India On Wednesday, it announced the pricing of its new Windsor EV in the Indian market. This launch will help the company expand its EV presence in the country against rivals like Tata Motors and Hyundai. The new Windsor EV is billed as a CUV (crossover utility vehicle) and is priced at over Rs 9.99 Lakh (ex-showroom), making it almost Rs 4.51 Lakh cheaper than the Tata Nexon EV (Rs 14.49 Lakh) which is an electric SUV. Though the Nexon EV and the Winsor EV are not direct rivals (in the way they appeal to Indian customers), however, the Windsor EV targets a similar EV customer base who now have a more affordable option. With the launch of the new Windsor EV, MG Motor India now has three electric cars in its portfolio, including the ZS EV and the Comet EV. The positioning of the new Windsor EV has made it evident that MG wants to reach out to customers looking for an affordable, family-friendly electric vehicle. The Windsor EV’s huge feature list is also a plus, considering Indian customers’ preference for car features.

Aesthetically, the Windsor features a sleek and modern design, with distinctive elements such as the signature bonnet, headlamps and 18-inch chrome alloy wheels. The interior is equally impressive, with a premium cabin that features a spacious and comfortable layout. The highlight is the massive 15.6-inch infotainment screen, which offers a seamless user experience.

In terms of features, the Windsor is well-equipped and offers a comprehensive set of amenities including wireless phone mirroring, a wireless charger, a 360-degree camera, climate control with rear AC vents, connected car technology, a reclining rear seat, a panoramic sunroof, Jio apps and connectivity, TPMS, six airbags, ABS with EBD, and a full-LED light package.

The Windsor is equipped with a 38kWh battery that gives it a range of 331km. The electric motor, which produces 134PS and 200Nm of torque, ensures a smooth and responsive driving experience. With four driving modes (Eco, Eco+, Normal and Sport), drivers can tailor the vehicle’s performance to their preferences.
