Compliance Directorate conducts searches in Axis Mutual Fund pre-sale case

India’s law enforcement agency seized 1.29 million rupees ($15,360) during searches in Axis Mutual FundThe company’s offices in Mumbai and Kolkata are linked to an ongoing investigation into influence peddling, the agency said on Wednesday.

Joshi received the proceeds from these trades in cash and sent them through Kolkata-based entities, the CEO added. Joshi had been terminated from Axis Mutual Fund.
