Afghanistan is staging the match near India’s capital because it cannot host international cricket matches on its home soil. The region surrounding Delhi has been receiving incessant rains for the past 10 days. The draw has been rescheduled for 9 am on Thursday, weather permitting.

This is Afghanistan’s third cricket Test of 2024, following one-off matches against Ireland and Sri Lanka.
