Angry over this, Naveen Goyal decided to contest the elections as an independent. He hopes to get the support of a large section of the Brahmin community. Addressing his supporters ahead of the nomination, Naveen Goyal said that for him politics is not a means to enjoy the pleasures of power but his aim is to make Gurugram Assembly the number one assembly in the country. He said that his dream is to make Gurugram number one in the country in terms of education and employment. Referring to many problems, he said that his aim is to eliminate all of them.
Many leaders pledged support
Many former councillors and leaders present at the meeting also expressed their support for Naveen Goyal. Punjabi community of Gurugram and heads of 36 communities have also expressed their support. Naveen Goyal, who filed his nomination as an independent candidate, said that although he does not have the symbol of any party. But, if the people of Gurugram Assembly secure victory with a huge vote, then it does not matter whose government is formed or whose not.
Expected triangular contest
Let us tell you that this time a tough competition is expected in Gurugram. BJP has fielded Mukesh Sharma. While Congress has given the ticket to Mohit Grover. Naveen Goyal has claimed his victory in the meeting and rally. He said that he has the support of Brahmins. He also said that for the last two consecutive times, a candidate from the Vaishya community has been winning the elections from Gurugram on the BJP ticket. He said that in 2024, only Naveen Goyal from the Vaishya community will contest the elections as an independent.
