Pakistan will host a new domestic one-day tournament, the Champions One-Day Cup, starting from September 12. The tournament will feature the country’s top players, including Babar AzamMohammad Rizwan, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Shadab Khaneveryone participating in it.
The tournament, which will conclude on September 29, will feature five teams. All five teams will be placed in the same group and a total of 14 matches will be played. The league phase will feature 10 matches in a round-robin phase before the knockout stages are held. The matches will be played at the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad.
After the league stage, the top two teams in the table will play in the qualifying stage, while the third and fourth placed teams will face each other in the knockout stage 1. The winner will face the loser of the qualifying stage in the knockout stage 2. The final will be held on September 29.
