India’s first Vande Bharat Metro train will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi on September 16, 2024. Ahead of its launch, Indian Railways has released the complete schedule of the first Vande Metro train. The metro service will help thousands of passengers who frequently travel between these two places. This is the first metro service on the Indian Railways network.
India’s first Vande Bharat Metro: Check the route and schedule
The country’s first Vande Bharat Metro will run on the Bhuj-Ahmedabad route and will operate 6 days a week.
The train will leave Bhuj at 5:50 am and reach Ahmedabad at 10:50 am. The Vande Metro train will leave Ahmedabad at 5:30 pm on its return journey and reach Bhuj at 11:10 pm.
It is noteworthy that this is the first Vande Bharat Metro train to run between Bhuj and Ahmedabad in Gujarat.

This Vande Metro train will complete the journey in 5 hours and 45 minutes, stopping at 9 stations for an average of 2 minutes during the journey. The train will run 6 days a week.
India’s First Vande Bharat Metro: Check Out the Design and Features
- This Vande Metro is a fully upgraded train having all the features of Vande Bharat trains.
- Initially, this train will be launched with a minimum of 12 Vande Metro carriages.
- Later, Indian Railways may expand it to 16 coaches depending on the demand on the route.
- These trains will have a unique carriage configuration where four carriages will constitute a unit.
- These trains will also have automatic doors and a high comfort coefficient.
- These Vande Bharat Metro trains are being designed to travel long distances and will be able to cover a range of between 100 km and 250 km.
