School Holidays: Holidays have been announced for the education session 2024-25 in Chhattisgarh. In this session, the government has granted a total of 64 days of holidays to B.Ed-D.Ed schools and colleges. For this purpose, the Directorate of Public Instruction has sent a letter declaring a holiday to the Education Department. The festivals of Dussehra and Diwali are mentioned.
According to the proposal, there will be a 6-day holiday in schools from October 7 to 12 on the occasion of Dussehra. Sunday falls before and after this. This means that a total of eight days of leave can be granted in schools. Apart from this, on the occasion of Diwali, 6 days of leave will be granted from October 28 to November 2. This holiday also has Sunday before and after it. This means that children will also be able to enjoy this festival with their families for 8 days.
While the winter vacation will be for 6 days from December 23 to December 28, the summer vacation is proposed to be for a total of 46 days from May 1 to June 15. According to the proposal, schools will remain closed for a total of 64 days.
When is Dussehra this year?
Dussehra 2024: In the year 2024, Dashami Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Ashwin month will begin on 12th October at 10.58 am while it will end on 13th October at 9.08 am. Hence, as per Udayatithi, Dussehra will be celebrated this year on 12th October 2024. As per Udaya Tithi, Shardiya Navratri will begin on 3rd October 2024 and will end on 12th October 2024.
When is Diwali this year?
Diwali 2024: The five-day long festival of Diwali will begin from October 29. It will run till November 3. The festival of Diwali begins from Dhanteras and ends on Bhaiya Dooj. Diwali, Lakshmi Puja will take place on November 1.
