With IndiaThe world’s population aged 60 and over is expected to double to 346 million by 2050, according to the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), making the need to increase investment in viable healthcare options crucial.

White glovean end-to-end healthcare platform for international care coordination, aims to find solutions to the health problems of older people. The company plans to launch its services in 2025.

Anand PrakashCEO and founder of WhiteGlove, says the company’s name was inspired by the concept of white glove services, which means offering meticulous attention to detail and a high level of care. “In healthcare, white gowns and gloves symbolize precision, cleanliness, and trust – core values to what we do at WhiteGlove. Our mission is to provide that same level of care and thoroughness to support families and their healthcare needs,” says the IIT-Bombay alumnus who has worked at Dropbox and LinkedIn.

The company’s services begin with digitizing patients’ medical history and performing a full-body assessment to determine their basic healthcare needs. The team identifies key health challenges and develops customized roadmaps to manage these issues. The company then selects authorized healthcare system providers, schedules appointments, coordinates travel, and offers 24/7 care. telehealth consultations and supports medication management, while keeping family members informed about the health of their loved ones.

Prakash adds that they distinguish themselves in the market by combining personalized concierge services with long-term, personalized care. “We don’t just react to immediate needs, but offer peace of mind through preventative care, customized health plans, and access to 24/7 telemedicine support,” he says.

The company uses AI to digitise patients’ medical records and offers services such as appointment management, medication reminders and family access to health information, making cross-border healthcare easier and more transparent. “We will cater to all age groups. We expect our first customers to be over 50,” he says. For doctors, WhiteGlove offers an AI-powered dashboard that displays information from years of experience. Medical historyThis enables the medical team to have the right background information to make informed decisions regarding each patient’s healthcare plan. Drawing a parallel with Western economies, Prakash is of the view that the Indian healthcare market is at a different stage of development with its own unique challenges. “The Indian system faces fragmented services, shortage of doctors and absence of electronic health records. Also, preventative healthcare is less prevalent in India compared to the West. In contrast, Western healthcare systems typically benefit from a more integrated infrastructure and a focus on holistic care,” he explains.

Currently, the company has managed to get 400 families to sign up for its waitlist through a targeted outreach campaign. This initial interest, Prakash says, is helping them gauge demand and build awareness ahead of the launch of their service in 2025. “Our future plans include expanding our network of healthcare providers, integrating advanced AI features, and exploring more opportunities in India as well as other countries with similar healthcare challenges. We aim to develop partnerships with leading healthcare institutions and continuously improve our platform based on user feedback,” he adds.
