In the largecap segment, 15 companies witnessed major block deals on the screen worth Rs 2,851 crore, led by Tata Group. Trento with a solo block count totalling Rs 715 crore. Next in line were Pharmacy Humanity (286 million rupees), Investments in Indian Pipes (246 million rupees), Bosch (188 million rupees), Electric grid corporation (147 million rupees), Bharti Airtel (146 million rupees) and Eicher engines (145 million rupees).
Others were, namely: HDFC Bank, Nestlé India, Godrej Consumer Products, Mahindra TechnologyAdani, Larsen & Toubro (L&T) Ports and Special Economic Zone and Interglobe Aviation (Indigo) with block deals between Rs 142 crore and Rs 99 crore.
The data was compiled by brokerage firm Nuvama and covers trades made this week between 8:45 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

In the midcap segment, a dozen companies witnessed major block deals on the screen worth Rs 3,353 crore. The leader of the pack was Patanjali Foods with a deal size of Rs 2,272 crore, followed by Lupine (Rs 224 crore), Tata Communications (Rs 182 crore) and Piramal Enterprises (Rs 172 crore). The others were Bharat Forge, AIA Engineering, Supreme Industries, Indian Hotels Company, Prestige Estates, SKF India, Container Corporation and Power Finance Corporation, which closed deals worth between Rs 80 million and Rs 51 crore.

In the smallcap stocks, block deals worth Rs 4,730 crore were closed in 12 companies. The top spot was occupied by Honasa Consumer (mamaearth, Rs 1,742 crore), followed by Suzlon Energy (Rs 1,037 crore) and Arvind Fashions (Rs 660 crore). The others were Electrosteel Castings, EPL, Godrej Agrovet, Edelweiss Financial Services, PNB Housing Finance, Kamdhenu, Jagsonpal Pharma, Apar Industries and BSE, which recorded deals between Rs 219 crore and Rs 43 crore.

Nuvama also reported significant block, bulk and insider trades in 9 stocks with details of buyers and sellers. These included Honasa Consumer, where Peak Xv Partners, Fireside Ventures, Stellaris VC, Sequoia Capital and Sofina Ventures were sellers, while Icici Pru Life, Morgan Stanley Asia and Jump Trading Fin were buyers.
At PNB Housing, Asia Opportunities V was the seller, while the Government of Singapore and the Monetary Authority of Singapore
Trent, Arvind Fashions, Electrosteel Castings, EPL, Pidilite Industries, Kamdhenu and Shaily Engineering were others that saw major block, bulk and insider deals, with details of buyers and sellers.
