Indian Railways|Jamshedpur News|Railway passengers will have to keep a lot of things in mind during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Jamshedpur. Extensive security measures have been put in place in view of the PM’s visit. Hence, many arrangements have been changed for September 15 as well.

Trains stopped stopping at platform number 1 and security was increased

Security has been heightened in anticipation of Prime Minister Modi’s arrival. SPG has also given suggestions on security. Checking of passengers’ luggage has started. No trains stop at platforms 1, 2 and 3. All trains depart from platforms 4 and 5. Trains also arrive from these platforms. The route of passenger movement has also been modified.

These changes have taken place at Tatanagar station.

  • There will be a ban on approaching the main gate for 4 hours.
  • On the 15th, the main door of the old station gate will remain closed to the general public.
  • The old car park will remain closed. People can park their cars in the new parking area outside the station.
  • There will be movement restrictions from the main gate from 9am to 1pm on September 15.
  • On September 14 and 15, passengers were advised to travel only through the second gateway in Burma. From there, people can travel from platform number two to platform number five.
  • On September 14 and 15, people will travel to the station via the stairs built near the RMS and GRP from the exit gate.
  • Entry will not be allowed on platform number 1 on the 15th till PM Modi leaves.
  • During PM Modi’s visit, intensive checking of shops will be carried out.
  • Security at the station has been increased. Passengers will only be allowed to enter after a thorough check.
  • On 14 and 15 September, people were advised to enter the station only through the second entrance gate at Burma Mines.
