The testing of Mahindra Thar Roxx has started today i.e. on September 14, just before Vishwakarma Puja. The booking of Thar Roxx will start from October 3, which you can book by visiting the Mahindra website. Some dealers are accepting bookings for Thar Rocks unofficially. Thar Roxx is priced at ₹ 12.99 lakh (ex-showroom). But you can book this five-door Thar for just 20-25 thousand rupees.
Mahindra Thar Roxx: Engine
Mahindra Thar Rocks has two engine options – 2.0-litre petrol and 2.2-litre diesel. The petrol engine is available in rear-wheel drive only and produces 160 bhp and 330 Nm of torque with manual gearbox or 174 bhp and 380 Nm of torque with torque converter. The diesel engine is offered in rear-wheel drive and 4×4 configuration, producing 150 bhp and 330 Nm of torque with the manual or 171 bhp and 370 Nm of torque with the same TCA gearbox.

Mahindra Thar Roxx: Features
Mahindra Thar Roxx also has Level 2 ADAS with 10 features along with many safety systems. It gets stability control, cruise control, and traction control as well as hill and descent control. Mahindra has also equipped a 360-degree surround view camera with blind spot monitoring and EPB with auto hold feature.
Mahindra Thar Roxx: Two new off-road features
Along with the TCA gearbox, the Mahindra Thar Rocks gets two new off-road features compared to the old three-door Thar, and they are called CrawlSmart and Intelliturn. CrawlSmart allows the driver to maintain a low speed between 2.5 kmph and 30 kmph without any intervention, and can automatically adjust the throttle to avoid obstacles in the car’s path. Intelliturn assists steering on rough terrain by locking one of the rear wheels using an electronic locking differential.
