The Hero Centennial CE100 receives carbon fiber parts
Hero MotoCrop announced the auction of ‘The Centennial’, a limited edition motorcycle in July 2024, which has now concluded. As per the brand’s announcement, the Indian manufacturer managed to raise Rs 8.58 crore as cumulative bid amount by selling 75 units of the motorcycle. One of the units managed to fetch the highest bid of Rs 20.30 lakh. All the money raised in the auction will be donated to charities. Meanwhile, the remaining 25 units of the motorcycle will be displayed at the MotoCorp Hero These units will then be delivered to consumers and employees through a competition.
The Indian two-wheeler manufacturer has already revealed the details of the contest that will award the winner a Centennial. To participate, participants must first send their photos and stories about its Hero product to [email protected]. After that, a personalized AI-generated visual representation will be created for each participant. Participants will then be required to use an augmented reality filter called #MyForeverHero to produce and post videos on their social media platforms. Finally, a panel will evaluate the submissions and choose a winner from the pool of participants.
The Karizma XMR is based on the limited edition CE001, but is distinguished by the use of several new mechanical components. In addition, the manufacturer has implemented notable visual modifications to differentiate it from the others. In particular, it features a semi-fairing design reminiscent of the original Karizma model.
To emphasize its exclusivity, the manufacturer has used carbon fiber parts. An Akrapovic exhaust has also been employed to enhance the sound of the vehicle. The bike also has a one-piece seat with a carbon fiber fairing and a number of badges that represent the exclusive edition. Due to the use of all lightweight materials, the bike is lighter than the Karizma XMR and has a curb weight of 158 kg.
