Congress talks with AAP failed, Kejriwal’s party released first list

Haryana Elections 2024: Amid speculations of alliance with Congress in Haryana Assembly elections, Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party on Monday released the first list of 20 candidates. The party has fielded Haryana unit vice president Anurag Dhanda from Kalayat and Indu Sharma from Bhiwani. Vikas Nehra has been fielded from Meham and Bijendra Hooda from Rohtak.

The list is as follows

Narayangarh – Gurpal Singh
Kalayat-Anurag Dhanda
Poondri – Narendra Sharma
Gharaunda-Jaipal Sharma
Assandh-Amandeep Jundla
Samalkha – Bittu Pehalwan
Uchana Kalan – Pawan Fauji
Dabwali – Kuldeep Gadrana

AAP had threatened Congress

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Haryana unit chief Sushil Gupta on Monday said the party will contest all 90 seats by tonight if the Congress fails to finalise an alliance with it for the October 5 assembly elections and will announce the candidates. He said all AAP workers in Haryana are ready to contest the elections in all 90 assembly seats with force.

The AAP wanted 10 seats, the Congress stood firm on five.

Talks between the two parties are deadlocked over the number of seats the AAP wants to contest. The party is demanding 10 seats, while the Congress is offering five seats.

Voting in Haryana on October 5

The last date for filing nominations for the 90-member Haryana Assembly is September 12. Voting in the state will be held on October 5. The counting of votes will take place on October 8.
