Gorakhpur Siliguri Expressway The highway to be built from Gorakhpur to Siliguri will pass through 305 villages in 8 districts of Bihar. This highway will be 550 kilometres long. Of this, 416 kilometres will pass through Bihar. For this, 2,755 hectares of private land and 168 hectares of government land will be acquired in Bihar. Sources say that land acquisition work will begin next month. Rs 25 billion will be spent on this project and it will be completed by 2028.
Around Rs 7,000 crore will be spent on land acquisition for the highway. Apart from this, construction work will be carried out. Under this project, two big bridges will be constructed over the Gandak River, one of which will be about 10 kilometres long. This highway has brought great gifts to Bihar. The price of plots in the villages through which this highway will pass will increase. Moreover, the rural population will also get a chance to develop the market.

This highway will pass through 15 villages in West Champaran, 69 in East Champaran, 7 in Shivhar, 33 in Sitamarhi, 66 in Madhubani, 43 in Supaul, 47 in Araria and 25 in Kishanganj. This highway will start from Gorakhpur and enter Bihar at Nautan in West Champaran. On this highway, interchanges will be constructed at 25 points, from where state highways, national highways and other major roads will be connected. So that people will get much convenience in transportation.
