Manoj Tiwari sarcastically said that in the history of India, whenever a Chief Minister goes to jail, he resigns so that the State can function.

Rather, he has been granted conditional bail, thus moving from being a Chief Minister to a nominal minister. He has termed this move by Kejriwal as a PR exercise and drama. Poonawalla alleged that the announcement of the AAP national convenor is part of his plan to make his wife Sunita Kejriwal the chief minister. He said that Arvind Kejriwal did his PhD on how to find opportunities in disaster situations.
