Preparations for Pinddaani will be made at these locations in Gaya and over 5,000 police personnel will be deployed to ensure security.

Pitru Paksha: This time, DM Dr. Thiagarajan is preparing in micro tag for Pitru Paksha Mela starting from September 17 in Gaya. Under this plan, on the instructions of the DM, Sherghati SDO Sara Ashraf held a meeting with the Petrop Pump operators on Sunday to provide necessary facilities to the Pinddanis on GT Road, National Highway 2 and State Highway located in Sherghati sub-division area. During this, the SDO spoke about the arrangement of free toilets and pure drinking water for the devotees coming to Gayaji for the Pitru Paksha Fair.

He also said that signages and flexes in this regard should be installed at all petrol pumps. This is also said to display the control room helpline number issued by the district administration for Pitru Paksha Mela. The operators of all petrol pumps located on the national highway and state highway of Sherghati subdivision and the BDOs of Amas, Sherghati and Dobhi participated in this meeting.

More than five thousand police officers deployed for security

SSP Ashish Bharti on Sunday inaugurated a temporary police station at the Vishnupad temple complex for the safety of thousands of devotees attending the Pitripaksha fair. He also wrote his signature and message in the diary of the temporary police station. Giving instructions to Inspector Neeraj Kumar, in-charge of the temporary police station present at the spot, and the nine policemen deployed there, the SSP said that there is a time of examination for them till October 2.

Along with security, such work should be done among the devotees so that they have a better image of the Bihar Police. If any kind of incident occurs, immediately inform the higher officials and act as per their judgment. Also, if you feel any new kind of difficulty while on duty, inform the higher officers, so that the related issue can be resolved by working on that point. The aim of this temporary police station is to provide prompt and effective security services to the devotees visiting Pitru Paksha Mela, so that they can perform their religious rituals without any hindrance. City ASP PN Sahu, Vishnupad Police Station In-charge Dharmendra Kumar Yadav and other police officers were present on this occasion.

Meeting with Super Zone, Zonal and Sectoral officials

After inaugurating the temporary police station at the Vishnupad temple complex in the presence of DM Dr Thyagarajan, SSP Ashish Bharti held a meeting with the super zone, zonal and sectoral officials deployed in and around the Vishnupad temple. Addressing it, the SSP said that the Gaya police is committed to conduct the Pitru Paksha Fair in a completely safe and peaceful environment.

All arrangements have been made for this and a detailed plan has been drawn up to fully strengthen the traffic system, which is being implemented. The entire fair area has been divided into 17 super zones, 41 zones and 324 sectors. Today the deployment is taking place with the inauguration of the temporary police station, together with the Magistrate, where more than 5,000 police officers and forces have been assigned.

In addition, all police officers and personnel deployed at Pitru Paksha Mela have been instructed to work in a spirit of service and safety. CCTV cameras and drones are also being used at this fair and a QR code has been issued which the general public can scan and give their feedback. They can register their opinions, suggestions or complaints about the police work on this so that we can continuously improve.

DM and SSP busy with final preparations, wandered around and inspected the fair area

After the meeting held at the Vishnupad temple premises, DM Dr Thiagarajan and SSP Ashish Bharti along with city SP Prerna Kumar, newly appointed DDC and Municipal Commissioner and other senior officials toured the Pitru Paksha Mela area and took stock of the final preparations. During this, the officials visited Vishnupad temple, Devghat, Rubber Dam, Sita Kund, Ramshila and Pretshila and during this, the preparations made for the Pitru Paksha Fair were thoroughly reviewed.

Further, necessary instructions were given to the concerned officials to conduct the Pitru Paksha Mela in a peaceful and orderly manner. During this, necessary guidelines were given to all the officials present for security and crowd control measures during the fair. It was especially highlighted in the meeting that the safety and comfort of the devotees should be of utmost importance during the fair.
